Climbers

You'll be sure to find a wide variety of well-established climbing plants throughout the year at Windlestone. We currently have over 20 varieties of clematis available as well as highly fragranced lonicera and jasmine.  Many gardeners use these effectively to frame views and garden features such as arbours and free-standing trellis as well as arches over pathways. 

Another popular option to cover fences and walls relatively quickly are evergreen foliage climbers such as hedera.

You don't necessarily have to use supports when planting a climber - some are known as self-clinging vines that attach themselves to stone, masonry or wooden fences without any additional support needed whilst some need a frame of sorts to twine themselves around.
